New Patient Consult
We have recently updated our policy and no longer require a new patient consultation if your condition is straight-forward and pain related AND you’ve already had acupuncture in the past. For all those patients that are new to acupuncture, or have a condition not pain-related, a consultation will still need to be done before receiving treatment. All new patient consultations are now performed via telehealth through our online system for your convenience. Prepayment is required for booking.

After 10+ years in business, we have tracked thousands of patient encounters and determined that patients get the best results when they commit to doing 6 sessions if their condition is acute (started less than 3 months ago) or 10 sessions if their condition is chronic (started longer than 3 months ago). The goal of Relief Care is to get your body to start responding to treatment and help reduce or eliminate your symptoms. Typically, the doctor will recommend a frequency of 2-3 times per week during this phase of your treatment plan.

Relief Care Acupuncture
Corrective Care Acupuncture
Once you’ve achieved your treatment goals in relief care, it’s time to transition toward a maintenance schedule and correct the underlying imbalances that led to your issue in the first place. This phase will involve decreasing the frequency of acupuncture treatment while monitoring progress. It will also include guidance in self-care modalities such as Qi Gong or acupressure, supplementation, or Chinese herbal medicine in conjunction with your acupuncture to optimize your body’s functioning and aid in continuing your progress into the long term as you move toward maintenance care.

Congratulations! When you make it to this phase you should be feeling like a new version of yourself compared to when you started! You’ll receive monthly acupuncture wellness sessions as part of your membership (auto-debited monthly from your account), a 10% discount off of products and herbs, and a discount rate for additional sessions if you need an extra boost.

What about my insurance?
We are contracted providers for several insurance companies, but not every plan covers acupuncture and not all our providers are contracted with every plan. Before booking, please contact your insurance company to confirm that you have acupuncture benefits and that the provider you have selected is in-network with your particular plan. Our office will only verify basic information that the insurance company provides to our billing clearinghouse online portal. WE DO NOT MAKE VERIFICATION PHONE CALLS.
Please also be advised that only Relief Care and Corrective Care Acupuncture for PAIN THERAPY are considered “medically necessary” and therefore, we do not bill any non-covered diagnoses or maintenance care to insurance. Please speak directly to our billing department if you have any questions.
